Objectives of the Conference

 

  • To evaluate the tools and techniques required by education and identify which technologies can
    meet their needs, be fit for purpose and be most beneficial
  • To raise the awareness of the importance of e-Assessment, particularly for Curriculum for
  • Excellence, in all its forms - electronic testing, e-portfolio management, gaming for assessment and mobile technologies.
  • To bring together the strategists, policy makers, practitioners and key decision makers at one event for an exchange of ideas and to review lessons learnt and opportunities available.
  • To provide a forum for developing the debate on the selection and use of e-Assessment.
  • To provide an opportunity to update education managers and teachers on the most recent developments in Scotland.
  • To identify the role of e-Assessment within the development of effective teaching and learning strategies.
     

Method and Scope of the Conference

  • A series of presentations by leading experts on key topics
     
  • An informal exhibition and demonstration of products
     
  • An active Question and Answer discussion panel approach
     
  • Promotion for the event will be to a mailing list from Scotland of approximately 1,500 recipients.
